Hello new friends!

This is my first time starting a blog and I must admit I am a bit intimidated.  I never thought I had the greatest of writing skills and still don’t.  But nevertheless, here I am.  I never thought I of all people would be sharing what I had to say with the internet nor did I think anyone would care what I had to say.  So let me first start off and tell you a little bit about myself and what I plan to do with this blog.

First off, my name is Hollie and I am 23 years of age. I live in the US.  I am currently going to college and majoring in Spanish. This feels like I am meeting someone for the first time…well I guess it sort of is.  haha.

I got the inspiration to start blogging from a blogger who I have been following for a very long time.  Her name is Zoe Sugg.  You may know her as Zoella.  I then started following a few other bloggers and got really interested in their lives, fashion, beauty, whatever it is they had to say.  I just always thought to myself…I could never do that…no one would ever read it…what’s the point if I don’t get noticed…my writing skills suck.  Blah blah blah.  Well I turned out to not care about that stuff.  If it makes me happy then I’m going to do it.  At the least all I’m doing is just getting my thoughts/life down on paper then it will be similar to an open diary.

How did I come up with the name luckyhollie?
I like to try to always think positively because when it comes down to it I am lucky to be living my life.  I am lucky to have great friends and family.  I am lucky to have enough money for a roof over my head and food on my plate…and more.  Think about people in other countries or people that grew up in bad situations.  I recently took a trip to Argentina and it really opened my eyes and reminded me of the things I take for granted. It also opened my eyes up to many other things, but that is for a different blog post.

What are my blogs going to consist of?
Well I am not entirely sure myself.  I am very new to this.  It is going to stay in the general vicinity of lifestyle blogs.  What is on my mind at the moment or whatever I feel like sharing. Big events in my life.  How I feel about a certain situation.  Rants if need be.  Home-ware or fashion hauls.  DIYs.  Maybe a little photography.  Sort of random.
